Training
Functional training.
Functional training at Teho Sport means individually led sessions that teach the body to move the way it does in everyday life — to lift, bend, twist and hold balance without pain and without compensating. We work in the free-weights area and on KEISER equipment, matching the intensity to your starting point.

About this facility
What is worth knowing
WHAT FUNCTIONAL TRAINING IS
Functional training works the whole body through compound, multi-joint movements — squats, deadlifts, presses, rotations — instead of isolating single muscles. It builds strength, mobility and stability in a way that genuinely carries over into everyday tasks and other sports.
WHAT A SESSION AT TEHO SPORT LOOKS LIKE
Every partnership starts with a short assessment of your movement and your goal. Sessions run in the free-weights area — kettlebells, TRX and barbells — and on KEISER machines with pneumatic resistance, which makes it safe to build the load gradually even after an injury. If you are coming back from one, it is worth pairing training with a consultation in the physiotherapy and conditioning area.
WHO IT IS FOR
It suits people taking their first steps in training as much as experienced athletes who want to add stability and mobility work to their own discipline. Competitors preparing for a particular sport should also look at training for athletes, and if you would rather train with friends, see MiniGroups.
